Floating back to Cumulus Inc. for breakfast

More than two years later we return to where it all began, Cumulus Inc., to try out their breakfast. During our previous visit we were blown away by their lunch of charcuterie, seafood and of course the incredibly memorable madeleines filled with lemon curd ecstasy. Heavenly. Wait…where was I? Oh right breakfast.
Poached fruit with yogurt

For something healthy the Toasted granola with yogurt and poached fruits is the perfect start. The granola here is mixed in with plenty of nuts and the whole thing is toasted bringing out some of its natural sweet taste. Accompanying this was poached berries and rhubarb topping a cup of yogurt. The milk is also kept separate again allowing for adjustment to individual preferences.

Toasted granola

For those looking to gorge themselves a bit more The full English provides a great alternative of grilled bacon, blood sausage, fired eggs and smoked tomato on toast. I wouldn’t say this is better than others. I still prefer the poached eggs at Hobba but the smoked tomato added a nice a twist.

The Full English

On the drinks side, the hot chocolate was a little bit weak – in terms of chocolate.

Hot chocolatte

Okay so Cumulus Inc. is not the best breakfast place. Don’t get me wrong it isn’t bad but they are a victim of their own success. If you are going to visit I would still go for the lunch or dinner to really experience their best.
